We meet with Chair of Humanists in Parliament

New APPHG chair Clive Lewis MP met with Labour Humanists to discuss our support for humanist parliamentarians. We will continue to support the growing number of Labour members of the All Party Group, to support them in their work on key humanist and secularist issues, as well as on cross-party work and in alliance with those of different religious and non-religious beliefs.

At the meeting we discussed the importance of human rights and the campaign to support the Human Rights Act, as well as the interest of parliamentarians in science and ethical issues.

To make sure we are focusing our efforts appropriately, we will be holding a survey over the summer to find out which issues our members and other supporters think should be our priority.
